SCUDERIE DEL QUIRINALE

Not a museum but an exhibition venue owned by the Presidenza della Repubblica italiana, managed by the Municipality of Rome through Azienda Speciale Palaexpo. a building designed by Alessandro Specchi, as stables for the palace horses, completed in 1732 by Ferdinando Fuga. The palace was used as stables first by the popes and then by the Savoia family. Renovated by Gae Aulenti, nel 1997 the Presidenza della Reppubblica granted its use to the Municipality of Rome for major art exhibitions.
